Usually its not our thing to participate in rumors. However, this time the rumor has been commented by Li Nan, the former manager of the overseas department.

Due to Meizu's restructuring he and a couple of the former overseas members, were moved to the Blue Charm department (m Series).

While the picture and Li Nans comment in specific are no official confirmation, he definitely confirms that we will see a bezele-less smartphone in 2018.

Furthermore, according to Antutu Meizu is about to adopt the upcoming Helio P40 series.

Though this doesn't means that Meizu split up with Qualcomm, instead all contracts have remained intact and we are about to expect releases based on MediaTek, Qualcomm and Samsung SoC.

Some might think now - why is Meizu utilizing so many different SoCs? On the one hand this is indeed great for Meizu fans all around the world as they are free to "choose".

However, it also has a practical background. On the one hand Meizu and MediaTek had a multi million dollar agreement, on the other Meizu wants to be as attractive as Xiaomi and independent from Samsung.

As you might now Samsung and Qualcomm usually have a face to face battle going on, about the fastest SoCs. At the same time though Samsung is keeping the "best parts" for their own products. What Meizu is doing here is a simple, yet very clever move. While Meizu continues its agreement with MTK, they make Qualcomm and Samsung fight about the prices of the SoCs. In the end its business as usual - the best offer wins. This allows Meizu to offer high end devices at more compeitive rates or at least with greater margin, restoring financial strength.
